The Gender Monitoring Office was established in 2010 and monitors the systematic collection and analysis of all sex-disaggregated data, including environment data, with the support of the Rwandan National Institute of Statistics. Women are involved in the fields representing sustainable development. Women and men must work together on these issues for them to be effective and sustainable development goes beyond the environment.
